As Head of Finance, you act as a key partner to senior leadership and play a central role in safeguarding financial health, strengthening governance and supporting long-term growth. You combine a hands-on mindset with the ability to elevate finance into a true strategic driver of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance function, building a high-performing and future-ready team
- Own the full closing cycle, ensuring accuracy, reliability and timeliness across all reporting
- Oversee financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance within a regulated environment (including Solvency II)
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, translating data into clear strategic insights
- Monitor and steer financial performance (profitability, solvency, cash flow) at organisational level
Must have
- 7–10 years of experience in finance and accounting, within insurance or a regulated financial environment
- Strong expertise in BE GAAP, closing processes, tax and financial reporting
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop teams
- Solid experience in financial planning, analysis and performance management
- Fluent in Dutch and a strong professional command of French
Nice to have
- Experience with Solvency II or similar regulatory frameworks
- Background in insurance, banking or asset management
- Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills at executive level
- Track record in improving processes, reporting or financial structures
